UNOC3

The Blue Cradle Foundation, a marine conservation and ocean literacy NGO based in Aotearoa New Zealand, was proud to participate in the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) in Nice, France, which took place from 9–13 June 2025. Blue Cradle presented outcomes from Tiaki Moana — a Pacific-led summit and workshop held in French Polynesia in March 2025 — through a side event, official engagements, and the launch of a dedicated report and documentary film.

Blue Cradle’s delegation to UNOC3 included youth representatives, filmmakers, marine practitioners, and strategic partners from across the Pacific. Through the release of the Tiaki Moana report and the premiere of the documentary film, Blue Cradle’s aim was to to amplify Pacific perspectives, share lessons learned, and contribute to international dialogues on equitable, locally informed, and regionally coordinated ocean solutions.
